Hello Everyone!
First I want to apologize for not updating this in a really long while. Wow only 18 more days until this project is finished. It has gone by so fast. Everything is going really well down here in San Diego. I love how the temperature never really gets any hotter. God is still working in amazing ways down here. It has been a wonderful experience. There is honestly so much that the Lord has taught me in these last 7 weeks that I wouldn’t be able to write it all. Sharing my faith is becoming more and more comfortable for me and the Lord has taught me so much through it. I have talked to a muslim, buddist, 2 hindu’s, atheists, agnostics, and a jewish man. Through these conversations I have learned so much and really have grown in my faith by talking to these people. I am finally getting some of the tourism in as I went to Sea World the other day and about a week ago we went to a San Diego Padre’s Game (baseball). We only have one week left where we go to campus and share with the students there and then most of the last week is prep for coming home. It has truely been an awesome experience. The job is going really well and I am going to be transfered to the Eddie Bauer in Fargo during the school year so I have a job there if I want it. The Lord was definatly looking out for me on that one. Our project still has debt and we are working very hard to get it down to $0. So continue to pray for us as we trust in the Lord to provide for our project. Please pray that as thoughts of home come to our minds with 3 weeks left, that we cant have a strong finish and the Lord will really work in our lives as we close out project. Thank you again for all you that have been praying and supporting me and may God Bless You!

Hello again. This post is really late. So far things are going really well without the staff. I thought that we wouldnt have as much to do but we actually have more especially now that I started work. Work is going really well and I love my job and the people that I work with. It has been different this last week since it was the week of the fourth. We didnt have our usual meetings because of working and we didnt go to the campus and share this week. Instead we did a beach outreach because this area just floods with an unbelievable amount of people during the fourth of July. Sometime later in this week we did an outreach for a new church plant that will be a church on the beach every Sunday. It has truely been a blessing to see what God has done through our outreaches. Everytime that we come back from an outreach we just hear amazing stories of what God has done. Not only has it been neat to see lives changed in people outside of our project but to see our lives take new perspectives in gaining a stronger walk with the Lord. Every person out here has learned so much in the time that we have here. I think that the biggest thing for me lately has been gaining deeper relationships with those that are around me and just investing in the lives of those here on project. One thing that has really struck me is that I know that I would not choose any amount of Money over an expeerience that I have had that has helped me grow closer to the Lord. These times are priceless and I cannot thank all of you enough for supporting and praying for me. I am sure that there will be so much to talk about when I get back and I'm sure that I will never be able to cover it all. But thank you again to all of you that are praying and thank you so much for the letters of encouragement!

Hi Everyone! sorry for the late input again. This week has truely been an amazing week. On Monday I didnt work so I had most of the day off but I still had plenty of things to do. I guess you could call it a catch up day. On Tuesday I with half of the project went to campus. This time when we went the staff didnt come with us. It was a great day on the SDSU campus too! I went sharing with a student here named David. He is from North Dakota as well. He goes to UND. We started out and were going to try and share with as many people as we could on tuesday. We ran into a few people that didnt want to talk and then one student we ran into was actually doing the same thing that we were but he was from another organization. So I gave him one of our knowing God personally booklets and he gave me what they use. It was so neat to run into another group sharing the gospel. We actually came to find that there were two other groups sharing day besides us. Then David and I ran into another individual from Chile. He was here on an exchange program and we talked to him the entire morning. It was really neat to be able to here about his culture and then be able to share the gospel with him. On Wednesday nobody worked because it was our opportunities of a lifetime day and from 1pm-10pm we were at the rec center. Dan Allan and His wife Holly spoke first and then we watched a video of John Piper giving his dont waste your life sermon. It was amazing! After that we all went out and spent an hour in prayer. Then we had supper together and at supper all the Staff sat at different tables and answered questions about the ministry of Campus Crusade. Next Marta (our womens director) spoke on discerning Gods will and that was really good to. After that we had about 30-45 minutes of praise and worship and then it was ten o'clock. It was absoloutely amazing and I loved every bit of this day! On Thursday (yesterday) we didnt really have much to do unless we were going to work. I found out my hours and I will start getting normal hours next week. So In the morning I didnt do to much and then in the afternoon we went to the beach for a while. The ocean can be really fun but the salt tastes horrible! I had a salt taste in my mouth the rest of the day. Oh well. In the evening we had a outreach on the beach. So we went and shared. God truely is working in the hearts of people! When it was all done we had a debriefing and people began to share stories. As far as from what people shared there were 3 or 4 that accepted Christ that night. And there were so many stories that were related where some other students actually talked to the other half of the family somewhere else on the beach. It was so neat to see God working! We also invite everybody we talk to, to FNL on friday night and it sounds like there are going to be a lot of people there this week. Praise God! Thank you again for praying for our project. It has been amazing so far and even though I havent made that much money like I had planned, you cant put a price on changed lives. So thank you again for all that you have done and may the Lord bless you!

Hi everyone! Things are going really well here in San Diego. On Wednesday evening we had our international dinner. On Thursday and Friday all of the men from project had mens retreat. We were going to go to Mexico for that but there was a travel advisory by the mexican government because some americans were killed by a gang while they were visiting the area we were going to go to. So instead we went to Pine Valley Bible Camp about an hour east of here up in the mountains. When we arrived there I was not feeling well so I laid down the for about 3 hours in the afternoon. I think I had a touch of the Flu cause I had the aches and my stomach fell horrible. Plus it was 102 degrees that afternoon. In the evening I had already gotten over most of the sickness so I felt much better. That night we slept in tents in the mountains and even though it was hot during the day it gets really cold there at night. So there were 11 of us that slept in a six person tent. The purpose for that was so that we could keep each other warm. It worked really well. Friday afternoon we arrived back at mission beach. Then the Girls headed off to go to womens retreat somewhere. They gave us the rest of friday off and we had we didnt really do much except hung out, went to the beach, and played basketball at the rec center. Then in the evening we did have Friday Night Live. It was interesting cause none of the girls were there. We had quite a few people that werent from our group that was there so that was good. Chuck Klein also came to this and I had the chance to visit with him for a while so that was good. We were able to work on Saturday but I didnt have to so I had all day off. It was a really long day and it was Unusually hot here of Friday and Saturday. It usually never gets that hot but it did. I had a few things to do on Saturday so I did have a full day. Today the girls arrived back and tonight we have the project dinner and meeting. Please pray for the student leaders that will rise out of this group. The staff are leaving a week from this wednesday and there will be students selected by the staff that will be choosen to lead the group. Please continue to pray for me and thank you soooooo much to all of you!

Hi everybody! Sorry this blog is a little late. Things are going really good out here in San Diego. As most of you know I have found a job at Eddie Bauer about 10 minutes from here at a fashion mall. Praise the Lord! This last week has gone really well. Most of the time I was out searching for a job, sharing, or working on the Video for FNL. Yesterday (tues) I was on the SDSU campus all day sharing and last night we did an outreach downtown and on the beach. On Sunday we had a mens time at 6:30 in the morning. The first thing we did was run about 2.5 miles and then we went through this obstacle course that was physically challenging in itself. After all of this they had us recite memory versus and gave us hinderences for the versus that we didnt recite right. So as a team we worked our way through this course helping each other get through it. It was a really good lesson on helping a brother out in time of need and realizing that we cant carry our burdens on our own. We need to give them up to God. This was a really good lesson for all of us. We also had a cleaning inspection on Sunday after church. I was so glad cause our room was pretty messy. Monday was the day that I found out about the job. I will probably start next week. God has been so great here and I have really been able to get to know some of the guys here. Thank you for praying for me and the job situation. Please continue to pray for the rest on project that dont have jobs. I think that there are still about 12-15 without jobs. Thank you again for everything!

Hi Everyone, Things are going good here in San Diego. On Tuesday I spent the entire day at the San Diego State University campus sharing. It went well. Then on wednesday we went out looking for jobs again pretty much all day, i filled out another application (i think thats fourteen now) so hopefully i can find a job. Thank you for praying for me in all of this, I have learned that I need to trust God more than anything throughout this process. On wednesday evening we had mens time again. This is probably one of my most favorite times. Yesterday (Thursday) after I did my devotions in the morning we went out to another job Hunt and I applied at another place. After the job hunt some of us quick played a game of basketball and then from 2:30-4:30 we had a walk through the Old Testament. This was really interesting and I learned a lot. Then at 7:30-9:30 we finished the walk through the old testament. It was amazing to hear all of the stories and learn more about Gods word. After the walk thru I sat down with the video team and worked on our video for Friday Night live. Today I dont really have much going on except finish the video for FNL and do follow up calls on my applications. Please continue to pray for our project with the job situation. Two girls have already headed home because they didnt have jobs. The project wont send us home, that was there choice. Also pray for the leadership that will rise out of our project, the staff leave in two weeks and then we are on our own with students as leaders. Thank you again for your support and God Bless

Hi Everybody! There hasnt been to much to write about the last couple days because I dont have a job yet. On Friday I went out in the afternoon did outreach with the staff that are here on project while all the students that had jobs started. I went sharing with this guy named Shaun. Then that night we had our Friday night live. On Saturday we didnt do much in the morning cause of the job situation but in the afternoon we did an activity outreach on the beach. How we do this is we go and find people that want to play games with us and then we just get to know them while we play and when we are done we invite them to Friday Night Live. On sunday my ministry team went to Clairmont Emanuel Baptist Church. This is not a huge church, in fact there sanctuary is probably smaller than Turtle Lake's. These churches are so excited to have us for the summer, just imagine 25 students coming to join you for the entire summer! Then in the evening we had our project supper (pizza) and we split up again after the supper and half of us went up to Mt. Soledad. This is a beautiful place where you can see over the entire city. The best part is that there is a huge cross at the top of this place. Anyways, we went up there and we did worship and prayed over the city. I had the opportunity to lead worship at Mt. Soledad, it was really fun. I am beginning to realize how big of an impact that God has put on this entire area through this organization. It is unbelievable how many people appreciate us being here. At Sea World they call our group the "God Squad" because of how the attitude of the workers change when our group gets there. The jobs that we have are probably the biggest outreach that we have out here because we come in contact with so many people through them. That is all I have for today. Sorry this one was a day late!

In Christ
